I really enjoyed reading this one – it made me a lot more aware of how far things travel, and noticing some oddities in our ecoonmy. Strangely enough, the little Dutch potatoes cost less than the same amount of little U.S. grown creamery potatoes at Trader Joes…I’m still trying to figure that one out.
I’m reading this too and thought you might like it… and lo & behold you’re already reading it. It’s really making me think about where we get our food (thought I was being good by choosing more organic foods, but now am more committed to be more of a locovore!) Let me know how the cheese turns out.
Great book.
Do you like it? I heard it was good
I do like it. Apparently Barbara Kingsolver makes her own cheese and she says it’s not that hard. I’m feeling inspired.
