It started with pasta with pesto and broccoli planned for dinner on a night when the kids would be eating with us, and it turned into an all green dinner. We used the greenest place settings we had. We drank Gatorade and sparkling apple cider. And for dessert…
…we had green jello in brandy snifters.

Did you know that hummingbirds have tongues?
And did you know that they use them when they’re drinking nectar?
Their beaks open slightly and their tongues shoot in and out of their mouths to lap the nectar up.

We saw a bunch of these signs in Woodstock this summer, and about half of them were spray-painted with skirts. More than half of the people directing traffic were women.
