I am so glad you found me again! Somehow in the changes, I lost your official website, and you’re definitely someone I want to keep around!! Congratulations on your marriage! You two are adorable and I know the kids are pretty wild about you too!
Hi Jill – Wow! Another step-mom…thanks for visiting my blog and commenting. I love your photos. I just bought a new camera myself… Canon Rebel xTi. I debated on the SD800… your photos look so much better than mine. Thanks for visiting.
Hi! I follow your blog because I love your photographs/style. How do you take such clear pics without a flash? I try to keep my flash off and mine always blur. Did you change the ISO?
Thanks!!! With the Canon Powershot, usually I try to hold the camera really steady, and I take a bunch of pictures because usually a few of them will come out clear, even though most of them are blurry. Sometimes I brace it against myself or an object to help hold it steady. With the Nikon D40, I get the clearest pictures by using a tripod. But I still take a lot of pictures, because even with a tripod they sometimes come out blurry. I probably take about 150 pictures for every one I end up using in a blog.
Jill, you showed me your Canon last yr but not the Nikon. Luv your photos but am I understanding you correctly – you have to take as many as 150 photos for each one you’re able to use on your blogsite?? The problem is that most come out blurry? Do your cameras have Image Stabilization as a feature?
I wish you’d blog more often. Thanks.
Hi Mike, Thanks for the compliment! I do take a lot more pictures than I blog. It’s not just that they come out blurry. It’s rare for a picture to zing out at me as just *right*. When it does, I blog it. Sometimes the composition doesn’t do anything for me. Sometimes the pictures are blurry (especially with pictures taken with the macro lenses — I do have image stabilization, but even so…) Sometimes the pictures just aren’t exciting. It’s nice to hear from you! I’ll try to get back on the wagon over here with the blogging…

This is such a beautiful blog! I have to say I’m very impressed at how much you manage to blog/photograph, etc. You are such an artistic soul!
