Today I made bread from scratch. Yesterday, mushrooms popped up in our front yard. They are still there today. Tonight, Gavin roasted coffee beans. Here are roasted and unroasted beans together on a plate: Each pile has the same number of beans. The beans get bigger when you roast them.
On the marble-topped dresser we use as a side table in the dining room.

It was $5 at a garage sale across the street. It’s going to live in the kitchen next to the kitchen rack. This is where the person reading out loud to the chef sits. Here’s a link to the poem posted right above it.

The venus fly traps are still alive. The trick is to give them only distilled water. I have a sprig of rosemary on the window sill. It’s growing roots. Next to it is a fighter jet I found in the back yard. And here’s the tea kettle on the stove.
